1. a scene is a small number of shots fewer then ten that all cover one short piece of a larger action
2.a sequence often consists of several separate scenes all of them related so that they build a continuous action
3. c
4.b

12-11 - 12-15
11 Shutter - controls the amount of time alloted to forming each video frame (image).
12 One example of a shutter program is used for sports. The shutter speed is increased to sharpen fast action that would be blurred at normal shutter speed.
12 Framing the shot is to create a pleasing composition within the frame.
12 Look room is allowing more room on the side toward which the person is facing when framing people. Lead room is allowing extra room on the side of the frame toward which people or objects are moving.
12 You might use planning and tilting of the camera when rotating the camera horizontally or vertically.

12-6 - 12-10
12- 6 the aperture on a camera affects how much light is entering the lens of the camera. This will change the appearance of the shot.
12-7:
There are three cameras recording for the interview project.
12-8:
The camera on the left, facing the stage, is positioned to be directly on the opposite person of the camera. Likewise, the camera postitioned on the right, facing the stage, is lined to show the second person of the interview. The camera positioned in the middle is designed to show both members of the interviewing party.
12-9:
We first hit record, then pop the strobe flash light, so we know exactly where we started the interview and it is easy to edit and review.
12-10
The camera in the interview project with the good sound/audio came from the middle camera.

12-1 Focal length is technically, one design parameter of a lens, expressed in millimeters. The name of any particular lens, such as "a 40mm lens".
12-2 One broad group is is the Iris almost fully closed f/16.
12-3 Depth of field is the distance, in front of and behind the plane on which the lens is focused, in which objects in the image sharp. A scene that looks perfectly sharp in wide angle may turn soft when you zoom to telephoto.
12-4Perspective is the illusion of depth in the picture, the apparent distance from the camcorder to the farthest part of the scene.

11-2 - 11-5
11-2: Two ways that the video signal is created are: light passes through the camcorder lens, which organizes it into a coherent image and projects it onto the surface of the chip, and the chip contains hundreds of thousands of microscopic sensors. Each sensor responds differently to the amount and color of light striking it, so each sensor creates a different electrical signal.
11-3: Two ways that the video recorder handles interlaced images are: the electrically encoded information about each video field (one-half frame) is sent to a record head spinning on a drum in the recorder, and the record head preserves the signal by selectively magnetizing metallic particles on the videotape that moves across its path.
11-4: The three camera support systems are: tripods, adjusting the head, and stabalizers. Tripods are the most common camera support, they hav three legs instead of four because a three-point support will not wobble on uneven ground.
11-5: White balance is the overall color cast of the light in which you are shooting. We had to adjust the white balance so that you could see what was being shot and yes, it did change the view of the image.

1: The first thing you have to do while preparing for an interview is plan out what questions you are going to ask.
2Three "top tips" to use before an interview are: practice outloud, write down at least three key messages, and be ready for obvious questions.
3: Five "top tips" to use duing your interview are: try not to fidget, stay quiet, don't lecture, connect with people watching, and don't distract the watchers.
4: One "top tip" to use after an interview is: thank the journalist for the interview.
5: Yes, i feel that this article has given me some good tips on how to make the interview better.
